Driver Golf Tips

Click Here For The Ultimate Golfing GuideThe drives are some of the most important shots in golf. A long drive is good for the ego, but long drives also have to be straight. If you follow these driver golf tips, you will have some of the best drive shots ever.

Before we can get on to the tips, you must first understand the two unique properties of the driver. First, it has the longest shaft. No golf club is even getting close to its length. This means that when you swing, you must make the swing shallow. Avoid steep swings at all costs. A Ferris wheel like swing will lead to a very poor drive. Second, the driver has very little loft. In fact, if you exclude the putter, it has the least amount of loft of any golf club. It is also specially designed to ascend during impact. Most clubs descend, especially in iron games.

To make sure you get an amazing drive, you should do the following things. These tips are intended for right handed players, lefties just flip things around.

1.Use a driver that has the right loft for your swing speed. If your swing speed is lower, you should use a high launch driver -13 degrees or even more. It all depends on the speed of the swing.

2.Always tee the ball as high as possible. Leave at least half of the ball over the top of the driver.

3.Your stance should always be 2 inches wider than your shoulder width.

4.You must stand more upright, while keeping your hands farther from the body, compared to the irons. If you aim for a shallow swing, your right hand should be outside your chin.

5.Tilt your spine away from the target while placing 60-70% of your weight on the right foot.

6.When swinging, the club should never swing steep or hit the ground. Instead, sweep the ball of the tee.

These driver golf tips will surely be of great help to your drives. However, without practice you will not make any real progress. Once you start practicing, you will immediately see how your drives go farther and farther away, while becoming more precise. You see a lot of pros on TV and their drives go well over 300 yards and always land approximately where they want them to land. However, note that there is a big difference between you and the pros. It is not that they know more or have a few tricks up their sleeve; it is because they have thousands of hours of practice. Practice makes perfect and they know it!

Remember, a good drive is not one that goes to 350+ yards, but one that goes to 350 yards straight. You want the golf ball to go as straight as possible. By using these driver golf tips, you will be able to both keep the drive straight and also achieve long drives. Your friends and audience will be surprised of your new performances. However, remember, practice, practice, practice!
